Grace is a Verb.

October 29, 2012

Instead of looking to God and realizing He is what makes us sufficient, we try to do everything within our own power.

This is why we find things impossible, because done with our strength it is impossible.

But not with God.
All things are possible through Him.

All things.

This is why we are tired, stressed, and burnt out. We carry things He never intended for us to have.

We don’t let God do what only He can – fill us and sustain us – because we try to fill ourselves up and sustain ourselves.

We were created for a relationship with Him.
We were created to rely on Him.

That is why all that trying and doing within our own strength does nothing more then drain and exhaust us.

We make grace an object to achieve instead of gift we receive.

When we let God do what only He can, grace is no longer a noun, but a verb.
